ADULT CHOIR: This group is open to all adults as well as high school students. The group sings at 11:15 A.M. Mass on Sunday and rehearsals are every Tuesday evening from 7:30-9:30 P.M. You do not need to know how to sight-read music. All that is required is that you are to learning.
YOUTH CHOIR: You are encouraged to join this group that sings at the Sunday 5:30 P.M. Mass. Rehearsals are each Sunday at 4:30 P.M. in church before Mass.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR: Children grades 3-5 are invited to join the Children's Choir. The choir sings at some Sunday liturgies and community functions. This group meets on Wednesdays that Faith Formation classes meet from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. Children should not be enrolled for the Wednesday 4:45 - 6:00 PM Faith Formation session.
SATURDAY CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE: This ensemble ministers at the 5:30 P.M. Mass on Saturdays, with rehearsal at 4:00 P.M. prior to Mass. Singers and instrumentalists are welcome.
SUNDAY CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE: This ensemble ministers at the 9:30 A.M. Mass on Sundays, and practices on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30 P.M. Singers and instrumentalists are welcome.
CHAMBER HANDBELL CHOIR: A beginning handbell choir that is open to junior and senior high students. This is a learning group and no prior experience is needed.
CHANCEL HANDBELL CHOIR: An advanced handbell choir is open to all senior high students and adults. Since this is an advanced group, rehearsal tends to move quickly. Some musical understanding would be helpful, though not required. More important would be a willingness to learn and commit to understanding musical concepts.
CANTORS: The ministry of cantors in our liturgies has always been a very important ministry. It is open, by audition, to those people who possess an above average gift in singing. The cantor is responsible for leading the assembly in song and often is called upon to sing solo passages in the music. If you are interested in becoming a cantor, please contact the Director of Music for more information.
ORGANISTS, PIANISTS & OTHER INSTRUMENTALISTS: Many of the groups listed above are always in need of keyboardists and instrumentalists. If you have been blessed with the ability to play an instrument, please come and join any of the above mentioned singing groups. Whether you play any orchestral instrument (such as string, brass, woodwind, or percussion), or a contemporary instrument (such as a guitar, synthesizer, electric bass), we would like to welcome you. The music of our liturgy is enhanced many times over by the addition of various instruments. |
